Tips for Going Green in the Dental Office

"Going green" is one of the hottest trends in the world today... and it is also one of the most misunderstood.  What is the definition of "green"?  What is "organic" and why does it make a difference?  Do things ever really go away when you throw them away?  "Going green" doesn't mean giving up electricity or reverting back to the Stone Age.  It does, however, mean a new way of thinking and awareness in the dental office.  In this lecture, learn how you can help to save the environment by taking small steps in each room of the dental office.  You can make a difference in the environment and in the practice's bottom line with just a few changes.

At the conclusion of this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Easily spot methods of conserving energy in the dental office
  • Understand the value of "going green" in terms of saving the environment and saving dollars
  • Understand how other dental offices have "gone green" and what it has meant to their practices

ALL STRESSED UP & NO PLACE
TO GO

Learn from one of the best dental management consultants in the country, Larry Wintersteen, how to handle the stress only a dental office manager can experience! Go home with stress-eliminating ideas you can implement Monday morning!

Basic Premise:

A lecturer, when explaining stress management, raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?" Multiple answers were shouted out. Then, the lecturer replied,
"the absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold the glass of water."If I hold it for a minute - that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day - you'll have to call an ambulance.  In each case it is the same weight - but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.  He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management.  If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on.  As with the glass of water - you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.  When we are refreshed, we can carry on with the burden. Therefore, put down anything that may be a burden to you right now.  Don't carry it home.  Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while."

 Lioness Leadership:
AWAKEN THE INSTINCTIVE LEADER IN YOU!

Lions are born leaders.  Cubs are born with instincts to hunt, propagate, lead, and thrive... they just don't know it.  The primary goal of mature lionesses is to awaken those instincts to ensure the success of the pride.  Like lions, you already have the instinctive ability to lead, and lead powerfully, from where ever you are in life… most of us just don’t know it, or trust it, yet.

It’s in you.  Leadership has nothing to do with owning a business, the number of people you manage, how old you are, how long you've been in the business or how much you make.  It has everything to do with your state of mind and the skill sets you master.  This course will help you access the leader within, communicate and think like a leader, connect vision to action and inspire those around you to do the same
