A PERSONAL STORY

This arrived at my home today.

WOW! It was a very unexpected gift from a mom to thank me for all of the driving and carpooling I do. I am actually the first to volunteer to drive anywhere because I get my kids in the car and get some alone time with them. It used to be special time with them and they would open up in ways they might not otherwise. I used to call this game “Hostage” 🙂 Now that they’re older, I like to listen to them interact with their friends and hear all their little inside jokes and teenage banter. Anyway, a fellow neighborhood mom knocked on my door today and brought me this to say thank you for always driving. Totally unexpected but WOW! How nice to be recognized and appreciated. It made my day. What can you do today to recognize or appreciate someone in your life? Someone on the periphery of your life. Like the mom in your neighborhood who takes on the carpooling duties!

Cheers!
Heather
