Q: What type of practice do you have?
A: I am an office manager for a general practice

Q: What is your title?
A: Office Manager

Q: How long have you been with this practice?
A:

Little bit over 2 years

Q: What are some of the duties you are responsible for within your practice?
A: It starts with answering the phones and assuring those new patients that we are a perfect fit for their needs. My role as an Office Manager is to also keep the schedule in our full potential; I am in charge of processing insurance claims, and all the communication regarding that matter. I am also responsible for human resource updates, patient treatments/ consultations, and keeping control of our accounts receivable and payable. Furthermore, I take a big part in hygiene reactivation, patient reactivation, and marketing.

Q: What is the most rewarding thing about your career?
A: I am a part of a phenomenal team of four ladies and a doctor. Every day we do our best to make our patients excited and happy to make changes in their lives. We deliver smiles to every patient that walks through the door to our practice. I am especially grateful for the reviews our patients post on our website stating how much they appreciate my help and dedication to their specific needs. I also feel very appreciated and trusted by Doctor Maldonado and my team. To continue, having a friendly relationship with many of the patients makes my job rewarding.

Q: What do you see as some of the benefits of membership to AADOM?
A: I am proud to be a part of that fantastic organization which helped me “charge my batteries” for the whole year (till next conference). I have attended four conferences and am looking forward for more to come. I love the ability to network with outstanding dental office managers all over the United States. AADOM provides great webinars in several different topics that help us to learn and grow as a leader. Every day I also utilize our forum to check for ideas or suggestions in specific topics.

Q: What other services would you like to see AADOM provide for dental office managers?

A: I would like to one day be able to meet all office managers who are part of AADOM in my state by providing a mini state conference.

Q: Have you ever attended an AADOM conference?

A: Yes

Q: What was your experience?

A: My experience started with a warm welcoming by AADOM members greeting me at the door. The level of energy was indescribable and the friendships that were created will last for years.

Q: Do you plan on attending the AADOM conference this September in Scottsdale?
A: Yes, I do plan on attending.

Q: Are you an AADOM Fellow or are you pursuing Fellowship?
A: Yes, I am a Fellow.

Q: What practice management software do you use?
A: Practice Works

Q: What company do you order the majority of your dental supplies from?
A: Patterson

Q: Do you or your practice participate in any charitable organizations?
A: Every chance I get I visit my local homeless shelter to cook breakfast for those who are less fortunate. I bring with me all the supplies they need to enjoy their meals. Furthermore, anytime there is a need to help at my church I am always ready to conquer the task. Also, whenever I get a chance to donate blood for those in need I am always happy to help.

Q: What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of work?

A: For the past two years I am a principle of a Polish Supplementary School. The school contains 150 students and 17 teachers who are helping students that were born in the United States to become familiar with the Polish language and culture. This takes up a lot of my free time to make sure the communication is efficient between everyone who participates in the school. I also love to travel (especially to my homeland Krakow, Poland) to explore other areas in the world. In the winter my family and I love to take a skiing vacation.

Q: Why would you like to be highlighted in the Member Spotlight?
A: It’s an honor to be nominated especially with a remarkable group of leaders in this industry. Being a part of this makes me thrilled and puts me to the challenge to work harder.
