Q:  What type of practice do you work in?
A:  General Dentistry

Q: What is your title?
A:  Office Manager

Q:  How long have you been with this practice?
A:
 1.5 years

Q:  What are some of the duties you are responsible for within your practice?
A:  I basically run the office so the doctor can focus on dentistry. I oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as payroll, HR and assisting with hiring and firing. It’s my job to make sure the business runs smoothly and keep our patients happy! I currently am working on updating our practice in an effort to go paperless.

Q:  What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
A:  Happy patients! When we have someone come in that has a fear of the dentist and leaves happy and at ease, it makes me feel so good that we were able to help them!

Q:  What do you see as some of the benefits of membership to AADOM?
A:
The members only forum is amazing! I have learned so much from browsing the posts and posting my own questions. I really appreciate the willingness to help from all the other members!

Q:  What other services would you like to see AADOM provide for dental office managers?
A:
I would say access to local chapters or info on starting your own.

Q:  Have you ever attended an AADOM conference?
A:
  No

Q:  Can you tell us about your experience?
A:
I am signed up to go in September and cannot wait!

Q:  Are you planning to attend AADOM17?
A:
  YES!

Q:  Are you a Fellow or are you pursuing Fellowship?
A:
I would like to pursue fellowship in the future.

Q:  What practice management software do you use?
A:
   Dentrix

Q:  What company do you order the majority of your dental supplies from?
A:
  Henry Schein

Q:  Do you or your practice support any charitable organizations?
A:
Yes, Dr. Gordley supports a lot of the local charities and events in the Slippery Rock area. This is a small town and it is important to him, (us), to give locally.

Q:  What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of work?
A:
My husband and I have three kids, ages 5 and under, 2 dogs and 2 cats, so they keep us pretty busy! We love camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking – anything outdoors! I’m also a big hockey fan, (go Pens!), and try to catch the games when I can.
