A: Endodontic

A: Practice Administrator
Q: How long have you been with this practice?
A: 3 years
Q: What are some of the duties you are responsible for within your practice?
A: In my role, I provide leadership, management and vision for the practice to ensure all procedures and systems are in place for effective growth. Additionally, I’m responsible for all business and clinical operations in the practice.
Q: What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
A: I love fostering leadership and helping my team members grow. It brings me great joy to help team members realize what tremendous potential they each have.
Q: What do you see as some of the benefits of membership to AADOM?
A: There are too many to list! I love learning, so they accessibility to CEs and amazing speakers has been one of my favorite benefits of membership. I also love the connections I’ve made with other dental administrative professionals. I can say with certainty that I connect with other AADOM members at least once a week, if not more. I’ve said many times that I would not be where I am in my career today if it weren’t for AADOM.
Q: What other services would you like to see AADOM provide for dental office managers?
A: I would really like AADOM to continue to provide more resources for specialty and multi-practice Office Managers and Practice Administrators . We have our own set of unique challenges that don’t fall under the same difficulties that general Office Managers have. A conference twice a year would be nice, too! 🙂
Q: Have you ever attended an AADOM conference?
A: Yes
Q: Can you tell us about your experience?
A: The conference is AMAZING! It literally recharges my batteries every year. I love networking with others that share the same profession. I love all the learning that’s experienced and I especially love all the motivational speakers.
Q: Do you plan to attend AADOM19?
A: Absolutely
Q: Are you a Fellow or are you pursuing Fellowship?
A: Yes! I’d hoped to this year, but between adopting a baby and then having a baby in the short span of 13 months, I simply did not have time!
Q: What practice management software do you use?
A: EndoVision
Q: What company do you order the majority of your dental supplies from?
A: Patterson Dental
Q: Do you or your practice support any charitable organizations?
A: Yes, we participate in the Mission of Mercy every year. We also treat Crossover Ministry patients and donate over $50,000 in treatment every year. Last Christmas, we participated in the Christmas Mother Sponsorship Program and provided Christmas gifts to a local Richmond family in need. It was one of our favorite and most rewarding projects and we plan to do it again this year.
Q: What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of work?
A: Family time is my favorite hobby! With two babies under two and a twelve year old, I don’t have a ton of free time! However, when I can slip away, I love working out with my husband and especially enjoy Spinning®. We also enjoy being outside as a family and take advantage of all the parks, trails and hikes beautiful Virginia has to offer.
