Q: How long have you been with CareCredit?
A: 5 wonderful years, plus the 27 years I have been in dentistry using CareCredit
Q: Can you tell us how you got into dentistry?
A: My journey started when I was in high school at 16 yrs. old. My sister worked in a dental office. It was my after school job and I fell in love. I started as an RDA and eventually transitioned into the front. I worked in a dental office for 19 yrs.
Q: What do you enjoy most about what you do?
A: Serving the dental community and advocating for members like AADOM. I am passionate about AADOM because I was an office administrator and I can openly say I relate. I love hearing success stories and being able to share experiences.
Q: What do you enjoy about working with AADOM?
A: The AADOM MEMBERS are the BEST out there!! I learn so much from you all and you have become my network/tribe of subject matter experts. You are my people and I love sharing this with anyone I can. AADOM is something very special. I am constantly looking for ways to collaborate and provide resources to the members to add value. I think it is very evident to most that I am very passionate when I speak about AADOM.
Q: Tell us something about you we could NEVER guess!
A: I am a Boxer- I know, crazy. Most of the time at the AADOM annual meeting, you all see me in heels and done up. I have been boxing for over 20 years and competed back in the day. Now, I box to stay in shape and for a stress release. I still spar with my trainer a couple times a week.
Q: Can you describe the typical AADOM member?
A: A typical AADOM Member is someone who is dynamic, engaged, selfless, business savvy, collaborative, and FUN! I have had the pleasure of working with so many of the AADOM members and it makes me very proud of our profession. AADOM ROCKS!! MY TRIBE!
Q: Can you tell us about your hobbies/interests?
A: I am a mother of two beautiful children and a wife. My daughter, Savannah who is 23, graduated in May from UC Berkeley and will be attending medical school soon. My son Sean, 8 yrs, is a motocross racer. Most of my weekends are spent in the dirt. LOL!
Q: Can you tell us about your experience at the AADOM conference?
A: The AADOM conference is like no other. I have been to many of the conferences and they keep getting better! The level of education provided at the annual conference is superior. I get so excited knowing I am about to see 1000 of my friends every year and know I am going to be in for a few days of fun, laughter, and learning.
Q: Do you or your company support any charitable organizations or events?
A: Yes, CareCredit and Synchrony Financial support several charitable organizations. I sit on the ADA Committee for Give Kids A Smile. I also mentor local kids at a high school that are part of a business track. I volunteer for dental days and volunteer at church.
