A preview of AADOM's new website “What have you done for me lately?” This is a question I like to ask of the AADOM website every few months. When the answer is “Not much,” then I know it’s time for a change. In assessing the AADOM website over a year ago, the AADOM team and I realized there was much to be desired and it was time to invest in a revamp. I’m so excited to share with you the newest iteration of the AADOM website at www.dentalmanagers.com. This was not a simple “let’s slap some lipstick on this” type of revamp. This was a “scrap everything we have and start over from the ground up and make improvements top-to-bottom, inside-out, and sideways.” Thanks to the amazing team at Roadside Dental Marketing Opens in a new window, who built this site for AADOM, we were able to create our new site first by deciding what optimal layout, navigation, functionality, content, and aesthetics would be. Of course, as with everything we do, we carefully considered the feedback and needs of our AADOM members. Our website is our home. Like so many dental practices, this is your “storefront” - the first thing prospective patients (or in our case, members) see. It has to be the best. Less than great is not an option. Sometimes small tweaks are all you need to update and upgrade. In our case, it was a “let’s burn this down and start totally over.” A very refreshing way to build! Please check out our new site. I hope you love it as much as we do! I truly think it captures the spirit of the AADOM Tribe and organizes content in an easy-to-find manner. Don't take my word for it! Watch our video and Kim and Lorie will walk you through some of the AWESOME features our website has: Some pages that might be a great place to start your visit: AADOM’s e-campus and the AADOM Events Calendar Opens in a new window. If you are a member, you can log in to the Members Dashboard (upper right-hand corner) to have all of the personalized information you need to maximize your membership at your fingertips. If you’re not an AADOM member, we’ve added the very cool feature of an “AADOM Test Drive.” It’s a fantastic way for a prospective member to get a great feel of what AADOM offers and how we can elevate their career and provide a community for them. As a dental office manager, I recommend you check in on your website from the outside-in (as someone who Googled your practice would see you) at least twice a year. Is all of your information up-to-date? Your hours, address, patient forms? Does the imagery truly capture your practice and its mission? Has your doctor or team members earned any certifications or distinctions you’d like to add? Have you added technology to your practice you’d like to highlight? You might want to ask family and friends who have not seen your current website for some objective feedback. What is NOT there that would be helpful to them? Designing a new website or updating an existing site is a great way to do an internal check on your practice - how have we grown in the past 6 months? What can we add? So, I think now is a perfect time to ask your practice’s website “What have you done for me lately?” If the answer is “Not much,” head over to www.dentalmanagers.com for some website inspiration! And, please let us know what you think of our new website and how we can improve it.
