Yellowstone Valley MT Chapter May 2021 Happenings
Two-Day Chapter Event!
The Yellowstone Valley, MT Chapter in Billings, MT was happy to host the amazing Tija Hunter for a two day event on May 20th & 21st! On Thursday night, we held a chapter meeting on Dental Office Pet Peeves. During this fun course, we learned about the issues we all face in a dental office daily. We also discussed ways to better communication, dealing with the stress of it all and making our day flow better!
Our Special Event on Friday morning was also presented by Tija Hunter. The topic was Crisis in America; Opiods – Vaping – Human Trafficking. Tija explained that many times someone in the healthcare industry can be the first point of contact for a person in crisis. Patients who don’t routinely see their physician, come in when they have dental pain. We learned that it’s with this contact that we, as oral healthcare personnel, have the opportunity to use our knowledge to educate our patients, gain trust, and help in a crisis. We have the opportunity to save lives!
