Dr. Simon has been a practicing dentist for over 25 years. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana in 1979, with a B.S. degree in Biology, and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) degree from Southern Illinois University in 1983. Dr. Simon is a member of the American Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He currently serves on the Illinois State Dental Society’s Committee of Access to Care and Committee for Medicaid Reform. Along with regular participation in continuing education classes and programs, he has lectured and consulted on a number of topics in the dental field. He is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Simon volunteers his time to charitable causes including the Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, The Marjorie Kovler Center for victims of political torture and the Old Irving Park free health clinic. He also volunteers his time to mentor dental students and offers various internship and externship programs in his practice. He is a founding board member and current Vice President of the Greater Avondale Chamber of Commerce.
