Working in healthcare for more than 20 years, Amy’s passion for risk management began after her own identity was compromised as a result of an improperly educated staff losing her X-rays. That passion has turned into a commitment to provide an easy to understand approach to complex regulations. Amy’s relatable stories of real-life data breaches make an otherwise boring and complicated topic easy to ingest.
As president of ACS Technologies, LLC, Amy oversees two divisions within the company. The largest, and her favorite, is the Training Division. Amy educates and consults dental practices specializing in HIPAA, Information Technology Security, Technology Disaster Preparedness, and Data Breach Mitigation. She also implements comprehensive compliance programs into practices, instilling confidence in organizations necessary for compliance. Amy is highly sought after to consult on data breach mitigations; she aids in minimizing the damage so practices can survive financially intact. Additionally, she consults for IT Providers nationally to ensure they understand HIPAA as it applies to themselves, as well as their dental clients. This enables IT Providers to continue driving the industry forward in a secure manner. The second department is the IT Security Services Division. Amy successfully manages the IT company catering to dental practices that desire to be safe, secure, proactive, and compliant with HIPAA.
Amy stays informed of evolving regulations and the ever-changing education landscape. In addition to ASCA and ADMC, she maintains memberships with Health Care Compliance Association, FBI Infragard, Cyber Health Working Group, HHS 405d, ASCII, Sonoma County Professional Women, and Sonoma County Professional Women. She is licensed by the Dental Board of California and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Jonny has dedicated over 40 years to the dental profession in various roles. She began her career as a dental assistant, serving both domestically and internationally with the US Army in large dental clinics catering to service members. However, she decided to change her career trajectory and joined the US Navy. There, she excelled and graduated at the top of her class as an Advanced Electronic Warfare Technician (EW). Following her service in the Navy, she returned to the dental field and has since accomplished a successful tenure of over 20 years, overseeing specialty, large group, and general dental practices.
Jonny’s achievements include earning a Fellowship from the American Academy of Dental Office Management (AADOM) and being recognized as one of the top ten Office Managers of the Year in 2016. She has also served as the former President of the SWFL AADOM Chapter. Her expertise in dental office management led to an interview with Dental Products Report Magazine (Nov 2019), where she discussed enhancing claim adjudication and office efficiency through Vyne NEA electronic submissions.
In addition to her management roles, Jonny remains actively engaged in the dental community. She is an esteemed member of SCN, ADMC, APDP, and AADOM, actively participating in these professional organizations. Furthermore, she utilizes her expertise by coaching and delivering impactful speeches and training throughout the United States, inspiring and guiding dental professionals in their careers.
