Baltimore/Annapolis, MD Chapter Members Join Mission of Mercy

Submitted by Lora Graetzer, FAADOM, Baltimore/Annapolis, MD Chapter Vice President

On Sunday April 29th, Pax Dental hosted a Mission of Mercy (MOM) event at their Lexington Park, MD location. This amazing event was lovingly organized by Ashleigh Andrews, RDH, clinical director at Pax Dental. All 12 operatories were in use for radiology, triage, restorations, extractions, and hygiene services. Baltimore/Annapolis MD AADOM Chapter members, Trina Shipley & Lora Graetzer, joined the mission and spent the day assisting the 80 patients that were treated. Multiple doctors, assistants, hygienists, and administrators helped every patient in need. Breakfast was provided by Pax Dental and Dr. Karl Smith & Beverly Wilburn generously provided lunch for all the volunteers.

The MOM clinics are designed to treat patients now and to raise awareness about oral health coverage inequalities. Patients were given oral health products and local dental resources to seek ongoing care.
