Austin, TX Chapter Members Helped Share a Smile

Share a Smile Austin was a successful event. It was held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Rose Dental Group on William Cannon Drive. Jenn Randall, Mary Hesch, and Mari Allen of the Austin, TX AADOM Chapter participated. Share a Smile is an organization that helps the less fortunate with dental work and cleanings. Many hygienists, general dentists, and an oral surgeon offered their time and services. It is amazing to see how a group of strangers can become a team within minutes. The gratitude from the patients was amazing and very rewarding. Thanks to all who made it happen. A shout-out to Apex Dental for putting the event together.

This was such a rewarding experience, Mari volunteered her chairside skill, while Mary and Jenn walked over 4.2 miles that day seating patients, running charts, turning over rooms, and making sure the hygienist had all they needed. We were all tired at the end of the day, but glad we participated in this wonderful event that the Capital Area Dental Foundation put on with the help of Apex Dental.
