Northeast Florida AADOM Learns How to Work with Complainers

The Northeast FL chapter had such a great meeting with Amy Drewery from the Brady Group. She spoke about how important the culture is in your office. We learned about the five types of complainers in the office. They are whiners, complicators, prima donnas, controllers and toxic. Amy provided different ways on how to work better with these types of complainers and explained that we are, at some point in our careers, one of these five types. She talked about the importance of having open communication with other team members and discussed the importance of morning huddles and regular team meetings. She gave a great example how they end their work day with a 5 minute PM huddle where everyone says something positive about the person next to them. This is an awesome way to end the day and for the team members to feel appreciated.
