Q: What type of practice do you work in?
A: General & Cosmetic Dentistry
Q: What is your title?
A: Practice Administrator
Q: How long have you been with this practice?
A: 7 Months! Recently moved from Arkansas to a new practice.
Q: What are some of the duties you are responsible for within your practice?
A: I believe team leader is the number one role of any office manager. Role modeling the professional side of dentistry is important. I am also a dental spouse who handles the accounting and HR side of the practice, as well as being a supportive role for all team members. As the spouse, team leader, and practice administrator, one must also be the cheerleader for the doctor!
Q: What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
A: I believe relationships drive the most successful practices. I love changing the lives of our patients when they choose to do something they need for themselves. However, I also love watching team members grow in their knowledge, skills, and patient relations. Rewards come on a daily basis when you love what you do!
Q: What do you see as some of the benefits of membership to AADOM?
A: My favorite part of my AADOM membership has been the people I have connected with who have become my dear, close friends. The opportunities for networking, sharing, and growing are never ending. As a dental spouse, I absolutely love connecting with and encouraging the dental spouses who are just finding their role in their practice. AADOM provides a support network for office managers that is unprecedented. There is NOTHING else like it!
Q: What other services would you like to see AADOM provide for dental office managers?
A: Wow, I really can’t think of anything more we could ask for.
Q: Have you ever attended an AADOM conference?
A: Yes
Q: Can you tell us about your experience?
A: I look forward the the conference each year–and it gets bigger and better every single year!! I wish I had started attending these conferences earlier in my management career.
Q: Are you planning to attend AADOM17?
A: YES!!!
Q: Are you a Fellow or are you pursuing Fellowship?
A: I am a fellow, from the class of 2016.

A: Eaglesoft
Q: What company do you order the majority of your dental supplies from?
A: Patterson Dental
Q: Do you or your practice support any charitable organizations?
A: We are new to our current practice but have always participated in charitable and community events, such as ARMOM.
Q: What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of work?
A: Living in Nashville, also known and Music City, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy great music! I also love to travel and see new places. My most favorite interest (when there is time off work) is to find my way to the sand and sea. There is nothing more wonderful in this world!
