The Contra Costa, CA Chapter Gives Back

On Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, the Contra Costa, CA AADOM Chapter hosted an event with “Kids Against Hunger, Bay Area” in which we helped package meals for the malnourished and starving children in developing countries and the United States. Each person donated $20 to participate which went towards ingredients to package 120-150 meals in an hour and a half. Our mission was to prepare as many meals as we could, and we achieved our goal! We had 17 volunteers attend, including our spouses and children. Having our children there made the event even more special. We are happy to share that by the end of the night we packaged a total of 3,672 meals!!!
It brought us a great deal of satisfaction to be able to donate our time and give back to those in need.
Kids Against Hunger – Bay Area is working with Convoy of Hope, K-Love Radio, and the Ukrainian Culture Community to get as many meals as possible to help feed the Ukrainian refugees as quickly as they can. Since March 5th, they have shipped 585,576 meals to help feed Ukrainian refugees. Additionally, they will be dedicating all packed meals to Ukrainian relief for the foreseeable future.
