At Rita M. Kurek, DDS we practice General Dentistry with limited Orthodontics and I have been with them for 17 years.

Helping patients achieve their dental health goals is the most rewarding part of my career. Seeing the transformation of their self-esteem and confidence return after they’ve completed treatment is nothing short of amazing.

The newest person on our team has been with us for 12 years, so we’re an extended family. We do fun activities like holiday dinners, theatre shows, and sporting events on our personal time with our families as a group. As a team, we collect donations of items needed, prepare dinner for, and serve others through a program called Streets of Hope. If we achieve our goals, we enjoy a luxurious trip abroad, which are memorable for sure! We are an adventurous group and have enjoyed activities such as zip-lining, parasailing, fishing, and cave rafting.

What advice would you give to a new office manager just starting out?

JOIN AADOM NOW and find your local chapter! The educational modules are stellar-OM101, Manager Moments, Phone Skills, HIPAA, OSHA, HR Series, etc… There is a course and a skill to learn to become a shining professional.

Have you attended an AADOM conference?
YES!! They’re magical! 2019 was my first conference and I’ve attended every one since and will forevermore!

Do you hold an AADOM distinction (FAADOM, MAADOM, DAADOM?)
Yes, I hold a Fellowship distinction and I am pursuing my Mastership in 2023.

How do you feel AADOM helped you to learn, connect or grow?
Where do I begin?!?!? AADOM has connected me with the NATIONAL TRIBE that I can lean on if I have a question, concern, need advice or guidance for any situation, reviews of 3rd party vendors, etc…
At my first AADOM Conference, I found BAM (Baltimore/Annapolis, MD Chapter) and I joined the board immediately! Our goal is to bring the best dental educators in-person to our members. I love learning and growing personally and professionally. Because of AADOM, I have the Fellowship distinction and I was one of the first 40 people nationwide to receive the DISIPC (Dental Industry Specialist in Infection Prevention and Control) designation through OSAP/DANB and have received an ADA Coding Certificate.
I look forward to earning my Mastership distinction this year and Diplomate distinction in 2024 and many other certificates, designations and opportunities that AADOM provides.
