A Message From AADOM’s President Regarding COVID-19
At AADOM, community is at the heart of everything we do. As the Coronavirus begins to have a greater impact, we’re here for you as you navigate its effect on you, your family and your practices. We’ve been through challenges together in the past and there’s no doubt that the AADOM tribe will support each other through this as well.
Our team is closely following the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As a virtual community, most of our channels for connection are unaffected and will go on as usual, however, here are a few important updates we want to share:
- The AADOM Annual Conference in September is still planned to go on as scheduled.
- Chapter meetings and activities: Please check in with your local chapter leadership. The chapter meetings listed on our event calendar are being updated as we get information from our chapter leaders. Many chapters may choose to meet virtually.
- The AADOM Live! event scheduled for April 3rd in Chicago has been canceled. We have reached out to each of you that registered and have refunded your registration.
- Finally, keep in mind if you do find you have additional time right now, utilize it for enhanced learning for yourself. As you know, there is a lot of great virtual education you can dig into on AADOM’s eCampus.
In these uncertain times, one thing remains unwavering; our commitment to you and our AADOM community. Please reach out to us and your tribe if you need advice or support. We are here for you.
Take care of yourself and each other,
Heather and the AADOM Team
